Expedia just released a survey of 4,500 hotels worldwide ranking tourists on their behavior.
The worst group: French tourists – with Spaniards and Greeks coming in right behind them.
The best tourists in the world are from, surprise surprise, Japan. They are seen as clean, polite, uncomplaining and quiet.
How did the USA rank?
We came in ninth place after Britain, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Australia and Sweden. It seems that while USA tourists are generosity with their money (both as shoppers and with tips), we are also listed as the “worst dressed”, loudest and “worst complainers”.
